NeuroNest is currently in an active pilot and co-design phase. Programs are intentionally iterative and shaped by participant and community feedback. This allows NeuroNest to adapt supports while building sustainable, high-quality offerings.
NeuroNest programs are designed for:
Neurodivergent children, teens, and adults, including Autistic individuals, ADHDers, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions
Neurodivergent creatives and artists of all experience levels including those exploring creative fields
Participants across different age ranges (varies by program)
Participants who may need more 1:1 support for recreational activities
Participants in independent living situations
Anyone with no prior art experience
Programs are welcoming, flexible, and affirming, designed to support expression, creativity, and accessibility.
Sessions combine gentle structure with flexible, participant-led creative exploration. Participants engage with art materials at their own pace, with support for regulation, communication, and sensory comfort. Small group formats help create a calm, supportive environment.
NeuroNest aims to support a wide range of access needs, including communication differences, sensory sensitivities, and varying levels of independence.
Caregivers or support staff are welcome when helpful. If you are unsure about fit, please reach out through the interest form so we can discuss individual needs together.
Programs are currently offered through partner or community spaces in Montgomery County, PG County, or Washington D.C.
Days and times vary by program and age group.
Current opportunities like workshops, are shared on our events page, or can be co-developed through collaboration or an intereste form.
NeuroNest uses a sustainability-based pricing model designed to keep programs accessible while supporting high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming programming.
Session rates vary depending on factors such as program length, group size, location, and whether the offering is a single workshop, multi-session series, or contracted program with a partner organization.
Pilot and sliding-scale options may be available for some offerings.
Current pricing details and options are shared after you submit the interest form so we can match you with the best fit.
NeuroNest welcomes participants who use private pay and those exploring self-directed or waiver-based funding options, including Maryland DDA services and autism waiver supports where appropriate.
NeuroNest is currently expanding its provider pathways and is not yet an approved DDA vendor. However, we are happy to work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, and partner organizations to explore whether NeuroNest programs may be included in individualized service plans when permissible.
If you are using or planning to use waiver or DDA funding, please note this on the interest form so we can discuss options together.
